The Government of inclusiveness extended to Sports by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has yielded positive results as Para- Athletes representing Lagos at the ongoing 6th National Youth Games in Ilorin Kwara State dominated there various events by winning 6 Gold,3 Silver and 2 Bronze Medals for Team Lagos.
Akiwuwo Deji won 3 gold medals in Boys 100m, 200m and 400m, Abdulrasheed Simbiat won 100m, 200m, 400m.
Also Okafor Michael won 1 Silver and 1 Bronze Medals in 200m and 400m for Boys. While Popoola Kanyinsola 2 Silver Medals in 200m and 400m for Girls and Olayiwola Adeola Grace won 1Bronze Medal.
The Youthful Lagos Table Tennis Players won 2 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal and 3 Bronze Medals.
Matthew Kuti who is the National Cadet Champion, clinched a Gold medal in the Boys Singles Table Tennis Event , the duo of Aishat Rabiu and Akanbi Taiwo won a Gold Medal in Girls Doubles Event, In Mixed Doubles Event, Mathew Kuti and Rabiu Aishat claimed Silver Medal.
Also, the duo of Adeoye Hussain and Matthew Kuti settled for Bronze Medal in the Boys Doubles Event, while in Girls Singles Event, Aishat Rabiu and Akanbi Taiwo won Bronze Medals respectively.
Lagos Football Girls after topping the table during the Round Rubin Matches with Team Delta, Team Imo and Team Kwara claimed Gold In Football.
Team Lagos also won 1 Gold Medal and 2 Bronze Medals in Match Play Final Golf Event, Boys Strokeplay and Boys – Stableford (Team 18 Holes). The Gold Medal came through Egbahkumeh Osiregbemeh Joseph.
