The Nigeria Football Federation says it has paid the Super Eagles of Nigeria qualification bonuses and allowances for twenty days.
The timely release of funds is expected to further propel the team to victory when they take on Angola’s Palancras Negras in the quarter final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on Friday at the Stade Felix Houphouet Boigny, Abidjan starting from 5pm local time.
Several sources quoted the General Secretary of the NFF, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi confirming the development.
Recall that the NFF through its Media and Communications department had applauded the Central Bank of Nigeria for fast tracking the payment method after the Federal government released funds for the team’s participation at the Continental showpiece.
According to sources, each player got thirty thousand dollars each in bonuses and allowances.
NFF confirms Super Eagles have been paid $30,000 each for their qualification bonuses & 20 days daily allowance.

The team could get more if the three time African Champions get to the latter part of the tournament or emerge champions.
Reports also suggest that there is a lot in the offing for the three time African Champions if they win a fourth African title in Cote D’Ivoire.
The last time the Super Eagles won the Africa Cup of Nations was in 2013 in South Africa under the late coach Stephen Keshi.
