Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum has drawn up his squad to battle the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France in coming days.
Africa’s number 1 Women football team qualified for the 2024 Olympics after knocking out South Africa, who have become their biggest test most recently in African football. the qualification is the Super Falcons first qualification in 16 years to the every 4 years mundial.
With a tough task ahead of the Super Falcons as they have been drawn alongside world champions, Spain, former World champions Japan and power house Brazil in the Olympics, American, Waldrum has called the best legs for the event.
Oshoala who recently joined American outfit Bay Fc will be the biggest name on the list alongside France based Chiamaka Nnadozie the goalkeeper and Atletico Madrid Women’s star Rasheedat Ajibade.
Fans favourite, Michelle Alozie is also on the list. Although there are omissions from the squad with long serving defender Onome Ebi missing alongside Russia based Francisca Ordega.
Onome put out reason for her exclusion from the team via her social media that “the coach has reached out to me, he wants younger legs for the Olympics.”
Nigeria and Zambia will be Africa’s flag bearers at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
