The Super Eagles of Nigeria winger and topscorer at the on-going AFCON 2023, Ademola Lookman has expressed confidence in the team as they set to take on Angola.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria would take on the Black stars of Angola on Friday at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium for a place in the Semi final and Lookman has said the team is going all out for a win in the clash.
Quoting from Completesports.com, Lookman told reporters:
“ We have worked so hard to get to this stage of the competition, and we will continue to push hard to achieve our objective”
“ The objective for us is to go back home with the trophy. We know we are not there yet, but it is something that is achievable.
“We know how strong the Angola team is even before the start of this competition. They have done well here and they a lot of quality players in their squad.”
“ We will play with the same intensity and fight like we did in the previous game. I don’t see them stopping us.”
Kick off time tomorrow is 5 pm, GMT, 6 pm Nigerian time, and a win for the Super Eagles would see them get to the semi final for the first time since the 2019 edition.
