The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup is coming in the summer. The biggest women’s’ football tournament would be played between 20 July and 20 August 2023 in Australia and New Zealand.
The 2023 World Cup is the ninth edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup and will be the first FIFA Women’s World Cup to have more than one host nation, and also be the first senior World Cup of either gender to be held across multiple confederations.This tournament will also be the first to feature the expanded format of 32 teams, from the previous 24.
With this, Africa’s representation at the mundial could rise to 6 if Cameroon and Senegal could clinch qualification tickets at the qualification play-offs coming later in February 2023; 4 teams – Nigeria, Morocco, Zambia, South Africa have already sealed automatic spots into the group stages of the World Cup.
Nigeria are grouped alongside co-host, Australia, Ireland and Canada in Group B while debutant Zambia will face Costa Rica, Spain and Japan in Group C. African champions, South Africa will lock horns with Italy, Sweden and Argentina while another debutant, Morocco will tackle Germany, South Korea and Colombia.

Estelle Laura Johnson is a defender for the Indomitable Lioness of Cameroon and the North Carolina Courage, a New Jersey based club that plays in the National Women’s Soccer League. She made her debut for Cameroon, her country of birth in 2019. The 34 year old is a beauty to behold on and off the picth.

Doris Boaduwaa
Doris plays in Ghana with Hasaacas Ladies and for the Black Queens of Ghana. A perfect example of black is beautiful, the 20 year old was nominated for three different awards – Player of the Year, Interclub Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year in 2022 by CAF. Unfortunately Ghana will not be at the World Cup.

Michelle Alozie
Michelle plays for the Super Falcons of Nigeria and the Houston Dash. Another epitome of black beauty, the American born also doubles as a cancer research technician. Her beauty will definitely attract lots of fans to the World Cup come July.

Asisat Oshoala
Asisat Lamina Oshoala “agba baller” is Africa’s best female footballer, an award she has won a record 5 times. The Barcelona striker has ruled the Spanish Women’s league with her goals and was recently on the top list of the World’s best players in 2022. She will be with the Super Falcons in Australia and New Zealand come July.

Roosa Ariyo
Roosa Funmilayo Ariyo made her debut for the Super Falcons in 2021 and plays in Belgium with Club YLA. The 28 year old Finland born is another beautiful face that can not be ignored.

Linda Motlhalo
Linda is another beauty from Africa. The South African nicknamed Ronaldinho plays in the Scottish Women Premiership, Glasgow city and the Bayana Bayana of South Africa. South Africa’s number 10 will definitely get fans glued to the edge of the seats and their TVs when the World Cup starts.

Onyinyechi Zogg
Onyinyechi Salome Zogg plays for the Nigerian Super Falcons and FC Zurich in Switzerland. The Switzerland born defender, 25 truly reflect Africa’s beauty to the world.
